Course Overview

Our Qualsafe Combined First Aid at Work (RQF) & Paediatric First Aid (RQF) course is designed for those who require a comprehensive understanding of both adult and paediatric first aid in a single, efficient training programme.

Taught by experienced clinicians, this course blends practical skills, scenario-based learning, and real-world medical experience, ensuring learners feel confident responding to emergencies involving adults, children and infants.

What does the course cover?

Over 3 extended days, learners will develop the knowledge and practical competencies needed to provide effective first aid for adults, children and infants. Topics include: CPR and AED use, choking, stroke, head injuries, fractures, asthma and much more.

Learners will gain all skills covered in both FAW and PFA courses.

Assessment Methods

  • 2 x Multiple Choice Question Papers
  • 8 x Practical Assessments.

Certification

Learners receive two certificates, both awarded by Qualsafe Awards:

  • Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)

  • Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF)

Both certificates are valid for 3 years.

Annual refreshers are strongly recommended.
